Combining the qualities of a book, the movement advantages of a video, and the extra dimensions of computer technology, the disks contain console-based interactive guides for each move of the Form from start to finish, taking you through the entire experience.

In putting together the content for these disks, we looked all the different aspects from our tai chi classes that help the students learn and understand the form - just seeing a move from the front is often not enough, in fact we were specifically asked to include views from behind the model!

Hands and feet are important, so we felt it useful to include them here, and other tools such as aids to foot movement and head directions. Breathing, too - we created our own 'breathometer' to indicate inward and outward breaths. Each move flows into the other, so we created options so that you can start your curent move video clip from the previous clip in order to see the transition. Text instructions are provided, and audio ones, too, if you prefer.

Each of the three parts of the Long Yang Form have been treated as separate sections - each executable on its own or practised one after the other to form the whole form.

Complementary to the instruction guides are visualizations of the moves and symbolic interpretations; plus multimedia warm up instructions, lots of complementary articles, and complete videos of each part of the form, just to put it all into context.

We believe that these disks are about as close as you can get to learning and understanding the Long Yang form of tai chi without a teacher present. Not only can you use them to learn tai chi, but also as help and guidance in practice even if you already attend classes or a club.
